Short on time?
If this week is already chaos, don’t try to do everything.
Do these three things:
That’s enough.
Got more time? Keep working your way through the rest.
Video Idea
This week’s video should require almost zero extra effort.
You’re already going to work.
Just remember to film bits of it.
Film these 5 things:
Take five short clips throughout your day.
- Starting your day
Opening the door, arriving on site, turning the computer on, making the first coffee.
- Getting ready
Setting up tools, preparing products, opening the shop, getting the treatment room ready.
- Doing the actual work
Whatever you normally do.
- Something people don’t normally see
Packing, preparation, admin, cleaning up, ordering stock, travel between jobs.
- The result
Finished job, finished product, happy team, closing up.
Each clip only needs to be 2–4 seconds.
Put them together as a Reel. Add some music.
Post it with a caption like: A little look behind the scenes at [BUSINESS] today 👀 A lot goes on that you don’t normally get to see!
Your Google job
Open your Google Business Profile and look at what a potential customer sees.
Check:
- Is your phone number correct?
- Is your website correct?
- Are your opening hours correct?
- Is your location/service area correct?
- Does your business category make sense?
- Are your main services listed?
YOUR JOB
Upload three recent photos to your Google Business Profile.
Use photos you already have – A recent job, your premises, your team, a product.
Time limit: 10 minutes.
Your Growth job
Get one google review.
One.
Not ten.
YOUR JOB
Think about a customer you’ve helped recently who you know was happy.
Send them this:
Hi [NAME], thanks again for choosing [BUSINESS]. If you’ve got a minute, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave us a quick Google review. Reviews make a huge difference to small businesses like ours.
Here’s the link: [GOOGLE REVIEW LINK]
Thanks so much!
Time limit: 10 minutes.
Got an extra 10 mins?
Look at your Facebook and Instagram bio/about information.
Can a stranger immediately tell:
What you do?
Where you do it?
How they can buy, book or contact you?
If not, fix it.
That’s your bonus job.

POST 1: SHOW YOUR FACE
Introduce (or reintroduce) yourself/the owners.
Even if you’ve done an introduction post before, do it again.
New people have followed you since then, and existing followers may know your business without knowing much about the person behind it.

POST 2: WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO?
Tell people about three things you offer.
This sounds ridiculously basic.
It also works.
Customers often know you for the one thing they originally found you for and have absolutely no idea about everything else you do.

POST 3: TALK ABOUT THE PROBLEM
Stop talking about what you sell for a moment.
Talk about why someone needs it.
Your customer usually isn’t waking up thinking:
“I’d really like to purchase some business advisory services today.”
They’re thinking:
“I have no bloody idea where all the money in my business is going.”
